It’s going to be a lucky Friday the 13th in Maplewood as Garland Jeffreys — the Brooklyn singer/songwriter who penned “Wild in the Streets” — graces the stage at The Woodland for the February installment of Rent Party.
Jeffreys will be appearing with special guest Deena & The Laughing Boys. Show is at 8 p.m., The Woodland, 60 Woodland Road, Maplewood. Tickets are $25 at www.brownpapertickets.com.
Since October 2009, Rent Party has hosted live music events, with the proceeds being used to help fight hunger in Maplewood/South Orange. Last fall, they moved the shows to The Woodland (60 Woodland Road, Maplewood) from their former digs at the South Orange Elks Club.
