Business is good at Ricalton’s Village Tavern in South Orange and the establishment is planning to stick around for a long time, says owner Tom McLaughlin.
McLaughlin wanted to put a stop to rumors circulating on social media that the business is for sale or has been sold: Ricalton’s is not for sale, nor has it been sold. He said the false rumors have generated a number of concerned calls from customers who have booked upcoming events at the restaurant. As a result, McLaughlin has been reassuring locals that Ricalton’s is thriving and will have continuity of ownership.
“Easter brunch was great yesterday,” said McLaughlin, who noted that, besides brunch, lunch, dinner, drinks and private events, Ricalton’s hosts ongoing special events such as its Tuesday Night Jazz Series (7:30-10:30 p.m.) and Open Mic Night on Thursdays (8-11 p.m.) at The Snug, Ricalton’s groundfloor Irish pub.
