JESPY House in South Orange held a fundraiser on Saturday, August 20, to help pay for new sports uniforms for the JESPY Recreation Sports Program.
The fundraiser included face painting, food, raffles and dancing.
If you missed out on the fun, you can still contribute: Make checks payable to JESPY House with “Fundraising” (Fundraising Committee by the Client Council) on the memo line. Mail to JESPY House, 102 Prospect Street, South Orange, NJ 07079.
JESPY House is a one-of-a-kind program in New Jersey (and one of less than a dozen similar programs throughout the U.S.). JESPY House serves adults with learning disabilities who traditionally would have gone to group homes or become lost within the mental health system.
Instead, the adults of all ages in the JESPY system receive training, skills development and vocational support so that they can become active and productive participants in the community.
JESPY House is a not-for-profit organization and a partner agency of United Jewish Communities of MetroWest NJ in Whippany.
