From Prospect Church:
Prospect Church in Maplewood is seeking donations through July 31 for its annual rummage sale to be held this year on August 20 and 21.
It’s the 38th year for the fundraiser by the Prospect Presbyterian Women with all proceeds going to local and worldwide charities, particularly those serving children and women.
Donated items can include lighter furniture, housewares and linens, books and artwork (but not textbooks, magazines or encyclopedias), fine collectibles, luggage, bicycles, toys and games, clothing for men, women and children on hangers, flat screen televisions and monitors, and baby equipment.
Donations are being accepted inside the church through the end of July. Drop-off times are from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Tuesdays through Thursdays, and from 7 to 9 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The church address is 646 Prospect Street.
Last year, the rummage sale raised $14,000 for different organizations.
“It’s a mission and the driving force for me is that we raise as much money as possible for local and international charities,” said Prospect’s Pat Bullock, operational manager of the sale.
