The Maplewood Fire Department would like to remind residents that Daylight Savings Time in the U.S. will end at 2 a.m. on November 1, meaning it’s time to turn your clocks back one hour this weekend.

The Fire Department has also purchased new batteries for senior citizens’ smoke detectors and will be providing them and installing them in conjunction with the end of Daylight Savings Time. As always, the Fire Department recommends that residents change their smoke detector batteries when they change their clocks.

Call 973-762-6500  extension 17 to schedule a battery replacement from the Maplewood Fire Department.
