Maplewood Woman Robbed by Man on Bicycle, Cops Say

A woman standing in the driveway of a home on Peachtree Road was approached by a man on a bicycle who displayed a handgun and took her purse off her shoulder Sunday morning, said Sgt. Christopher Black. At around 9:30 a.m., the man, described as black in his early 20s, asked the woman a question before removing her purse; he then rode away toward Parker Avenue, Black said. The woman was not injured.

December 8, 2015; Motor Vehicle Theft; During the overnight hours an unsecured Jeep parked on Colonial Terrace was stolen. It was later recovered in Irvington.

December 10, 2015; Tire/Rim Thefts; During the overnight hours, the tires and rims were stolen from two vehicles. One was parked in a driveway of a Baldwin Rd residence and one was parked in the driveway of a Madison Ave residence.

December 11, 2015; Burglary; During the afternoon hours entry was made into the basement window of a home on Berkley St. At the time of the report, the proceeds if any, were unknown.
