The school year may just have ended but there’s no time to rest for Columbia High School track coach Lisa Morgan.
Hot on the heels of coaching the Columbia High School girls 4×800 relay team to a second consecutive Penn Relay win, Morgan begins leading “Coach Morgan’s Co-Ed Track Camp” through the South Orange Maplewood Adult School at Underhill Field this morning.
The camp is open to children in grades 3-12. It runs in two sessions: from June 30-July 3, 9 a.m. to noon for $76; and from July 7-11, 9 a.m. to noon for $95. Contact the Adult School office for registration at 973-378-7620.
But wait — there’s more.
Morgan is also running The Great American Track Camp from August 4-8 at Underhill. There is a qualifying standard to enter this camp (available at coachlisamorgan.com). Cost is $175 for those who register before July 4; $225 after July 4. The camp includes film analysis, nutrition consulting, metabolic screening, appearances and demonstrations by elite and college athletes, and the opportunity to work with Olympic coaches.
