South Orange Rescue Squad

Families will have the opportunity to enjoy more than 25 maker stations at this FREE community STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math) event at Columbia High School.

All proceeds of the South Orange Rescue Squad’s 5K run and walk go to providing free emergency medical services to residents of South Orange, Maplewood and the surrounding communities. 

At the Foundation’s “Celebrate Maplewood,” event, which drew 200 attendees, the organization’s 2024 non-profit grantees were recognized for the good work they do in the community.

Visitation will take place on Friday, December 6 from 3:00- 7:00 PM at Preston Funeral Home, 153 South Orange Ave, South Orange, NJ.

The letter, falsely claiming to be from the rescue squad, stated that the squad would begin charging for services. The SORS Board strongly disavows and refutes the letter.
