You’ve got two more chances to catch them live and in person together before the November 8 election.
The League of Women Voters of Maplewood-South Orange is sponsoring a debate on Thursday, October 6, at 7:30 p.m. at the Maplewood Memorial Library Meeting Room. Both candidates will present their views on issues important to the community, answering questions prepared by the LWV and also audience questions.
Maplewood Senior Share will be hosting its Second Annual Maplewood Senior Share Candidates Forum on October 15 at Les Saisons, 304 Elmwood Avenue from 9:30-11:30 a.m. The forum will start promptly at 9:45 a.m. and each candidate will have 6-8 minutes for opening comments followed by an hour of Q&A with the audience.Ed Brisbon, a local resident and presenter on long-term health planning, will facilitate the forum. Questions are blind and will not be shared with candidates prior to the event that morning. In addition, youth groups from Maplewood Middle School and Columbia High School have been invited to participate. The event is not limited to senior issues. The forum will be followed by a light brunch with coffee and tea at 11:15 a.m. at which attendees can mingle with the candidates.
