The Maplewood Township Committee will hold its second budget hearing on Saturday, January 31 beginning at 9 a.m. at Maplewood Town Hall.
The heads of Maplewood municipal departments including the DPW, Engineering/Planning & Zoning and Finance and Tax, as well as the Maplewood Library, the Community Coalition on Race and YouthNet — among others — will present budget updates and requests to the Maplewood Township Committee as part of the 2015 municipal budget process.
The hearing is open to the public, and members of the public may comment at the end of the presentations (at roughly 3:30 p.m.)
Residents also can watch the meeting on FiOS channel 24 and Comcast channel 35, and can email budget-related questions during the hearing to this email address: askthetc@twp.maplewood.nj.us.
At the first budget hearing on January 10, member of the Township Committee pledged to bring in a 2015 budget that is at the 2% cap “all-in” or below, if possible.
