South Orange Village President Alex Torpey will present the 2015 South Orange State Of The Village Address on Monday, February 23 at 8:30 p.m. at the The Loft at the South Orange Performing Arts Center (SOPAC).
The South Orange Village Board of Trustees, Village staff and elected officials and leaders from around Essex County will be in attendance.
The public is welcome to attend. The address will follow an abbreviated Board of Trustees meeting from 7 to 8 p.m.
According to a post on the South Orange Township website, the address will recap “the past year and upcoming work to reduce municipal spending and property taxes, reduce crime, increase economic development and ratables in the Village, encourage sustainable practices, and continue to break ground in transparency, technology and citizen engagement.
“Join us as we celebrate the achievements of hard working public servants and lay out a vision for not just the future of the Village, but the future of innovation in local governance.”
