The Maplewood Village Alliance, the non-profit that manages the special improvement district (SID) in downtown Maplewood, is looking for a new manager to start work in January 2018.
Long-time manager Julie Doran will be leaving her position as Village Manager at the end of 2017. However, Doran will maintain her position as manager of the Springfield Avenue Partnership, the SID for the 1.5-mile stretch of Springfield Avenue that runs through Maplewood.
Doran has been manager of the Maplewood Village Alliance for eight years. She took on the job at the Springfield Avenue Partnership four years ago.
The Maplewood Village Alliance has a budget about about $80,00o/year, with approximately $52,000 coming from assessments on real property values in the district, $12,500 from a Township contribution and the rest through fundraising. The position of manager is part time, at 16-20 hours per week — see details below.
The Springfield Avenue Partnership has a larger budget of $219,00, with about $132,000 from the assessment, $20,000 from the Township and the remainder through fundraising.
