The Hilton Neighborhood Association and the Hilton Branch Library will hold a joint meeting on Thursday, February 19, featuring the documentary “Shared History.”

This true story documents the meeting of the descendants of slaves and slave owners from the Woodlands Plantation in South Carolina and uncovers mythologies about their 260-year-old relationship.

Rhonda Kearse, one of the participants in the documentary and an HNA member, will lead a discussion at the conclusion of the evening.

This meeting is free and open to everyone. Middle school and high school students are especially welcome. Refreshments will be served. For further information, contact 201-787-7688 or cabms@aol.com.

The meeting will take place in the DeHart Community Center, 120 Burnett Avenue, Maplewood at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, February 19, 2015.
