David Culp, expert herbaceous perennial gardener, national gardening lecturer and Vice President of Sunny Border Nurseries, will present a lesson on how to create a layered garden at Maplewood Memorial Library (51 Baker Street) on Monday, November 7 at 7:30 pm.

You’ll learn how to choose the correct plants by understanding how they grow and change through the seasons, and how to design and maintain one.  To illustrate how layering works, David will take give a personal tour through each of his celebrated gardens:  the woodland garden, the perennial border, the kitchen garden, the shrubbery, and the walled garden.  Find out what he recommends as the best signature plants for all four seasons.
