On Monday, March 11, we contacted South Orange Trustee and Public Safety Committee Chair Howard Levison about some messy and potentially unsafe conditions outside the South Orange Police Headquarters, where a years-long, major interior and exterior renovation is ongoing and nearing completion.
The “before” pictures, emailed to Village Green on March 11 by a reader, showed random signage and construction materials and equipment scattered about the exterior of the police headquarters on South Orange Avenue:
Levison responded that the situation would be cleaned up by the end of the week. He cited difficult weather conditions and a contractor that needed close supervision. This morning we received the following photos in our inbox under the subject line “as promised”:
