The South Orange Maplewood Community Coalition on Race is offering its third Civic Engagement Institute beginning Saturday, October 25 at the South Orange Public Library.
This free program trains future volunteers to better understand themselves and those they work with. It will introduce time management skills, improve participant’s understanding of group dynamics and provide training exercises to solidify their knowledge base. In return, graduates are asked to volunteer in the community for a minimum of 6 months.
The institute consists of four consecutive Saturday workshops to be held beginning October 25 from 9:30-12:30 at the South Orange Public Library.
