Cleaning out the closets? Save your donations for the 81st Annual “Miracle on Baker Street,” aka the Morrow Memorial Church Turnover Sale, which kicks off July 1. Donations will be accepted beginning June 16.
This legendary sale, which raises money for the church’s mission and charitable projects, transforms two full floors of the church into a veritable department store. There’s even a huge tent outdoors chock full of more goodies. Customers come from all over the area, with lines on opening day stretching around the block.
The grand opening is July 1 from 7 – 9 p.m. Here are the days and times for the rest of the sale:
Sat., July 5, 9 a.m.-12 p.m.
Thurs., July 10, 7-9 p.m. (note change from tradition)
Sat., July 12, 9 a.m.-12 p.m.
Tues., July 15, 7-9pm
The last day of the sale is Thursday, July 17 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Unsold items are donated to numerous charitable organizations including Goodwill Industries, The Methodist Home in Ocean Grove, the Burn Center in Newark, American Rescue Workers and more.
To donate, drop off your donations (in good condition) between June 16 and July 12, but not during sale dates.
