South Orange Police arrested three Maplewood teenagers and charged them with trespassing in a South Orange church on Wednesday night, according to the South Orange Police blotter.
Marcus Jackson, 18, and two 17-year-olds, all Maplewood residents, were arrested at around 11 p.m. on Wednesday after officers responded to a call reporting people inside a church on Irvington Avenue. The church had previously reported a theft from one of their offices. Police took all three into custody and charged them with trespassing.

Warrant arrest
Tanja Contreras, a 26 year old Newark resident was arrested on 8-21-14 at approximately 10:20pm after she was stopped for making a motor vehicle violation on South Orange Ave. within a DWI checkpoint. During the stop it was determined that the subject had an outstanding warrant issued for her arrest out of Bloomfield. The subject was arrested without incident and processed accordingly.

Ricky Granger, a 55 year old Irvington resident was arrested on 8-20-14 at approximately 9:20pm after Detectives observed the subject enter private property where several vehicles were parked on Irvington Ave. During the field inquiry as to the subject’s actions it was discovered that the subject was a wanted person out of the Essex County Sheriff’s department stemming from a previous criminal offense. The subject was arrested at the scene and processed accordingly.

Burglary/theft from dwelling
A Mountain Dr. resident stated that sometime between 8-14-14 and 8-21-14 an unknown actor(s) had entered his dwelling and removed credit cards that were utilized without his knowledge. The victim stated that he is currently having work done on his residence and has provided the information to the Detectives assigned to investigate same. At the time of the report it is unknown what other items may have been removed. The Detective Bureau is investigating the incident
