The Springfield Avenue Partnership and Maplewood Loves Wellness committee are pleased to present the Health & HarvestFest, held Saturday, October 10 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Hilton Library Branch area & Gazebo grounds, 1688 Springfield Ave.
This family-friendly event will feature something for everyone including plenty of activities for the kids, live music and performances, a cooking demonstration, a healthy cooking contest and over 50 vendors including retail, food and health & wellness businesses from Springfield Avenue, Maplewood and neighboring communities.
The Partnership and Maplewood Loves Wellness committee would like to thank presenting sponsors: Natalie Farrell of Weichert Realtors, St. Barnabas Medical Center, Summit Medical Group and Overlook Medical Center | Atlantic Health System.
The Gazebo stage is sponsored by BCB Community Bank of South Orange, and the demonstrations, performances and music schedule is as follows:

The Healthy Cooking Contest takes place at noon and includes free samples! This year’s entrants are Pimento Grill, The Rack, Park Wood Diner, Abril Cocina, Lickt Gelato, Maplewood Pizzeria, Holly’s Fish Fry and returning champ Winchester Gardens.
Activities for the kids are unlimited with the purchase of a $5.00 wristband and include:
- Pumpkin patch and painting sponsored by Express Yourself Studios
- Bounce House sponsored by CKO Kickboxing of Maplewood
- Petting Zoo sponsored by Le Petit Academy & Meineke Car Care Center
- Pony Rides sponsored by Blue Life Karate, Tile Design Inspirations & Advance Auto Parts
- Wristbands are sponsored by Woolley Fuel Oil
- Other event activities including hula hoops and sidewalk graffiti are sponsored by Valentine Plumbing, Vanessa Pollock of KWR Midtown Direct Realty, Time to Clean and County to County Landscaping
There will also be a chair yoga demonstration by Radiant Health Easy Yoga, time TBA.
Attendees will also be able to pick up a complimentary copy of Tastes of Maplewood | Healthy Cooking Recipes from Local Eateries, from Maplewood Loves Wellness while supplies last, and have a chance to win one of several prizes from Springfield Avenue businesses including a gift basket from DiPietro’s Food and gift certificates to the Park Wood Diner and Verjus Restaurant.
