The following is from the Springfield Avenue Partnership and Maplewood Loves Wellness:
The Springfield Avenue Partnership and Maplewood Loves Wellness are pleased to announce the merger of their individual events, HarvestFest and the Wellness Fair. Together, they will now bring you one event, Health and HarvestFest!
The organizers of the Wellness Fair and HarvestFest held a meeting some months ago to discuss the possibility of joining the two popular events. The discussion didn’t take long. Everyone thought it would be a positive change and agreed to the merger.
“Joining these two events is a great idea,” said District Manager Julie Doran. “They are both already well known, popular events and together we can reach an even larger audience. With the best pieces of each event coming together, it will definitely be great!”
“The Fall, harvest season, is the perfect time of year to promote family fun and a healthy lifestyle, so why not bring the two together in one location. The combined fair will definitely offer something for everyone,” said Deputy Mayor Kathy Leventhal, chair of the Maplewood Loves Wellness Committee.
There will still be the best of both events at the new Health and HarvestFest. The HarvestFest kid activities like pumpkin painting, pony rides and a bounce house, live music and performances will be combined with the favorite healthy eating cooking contest and popular health and wellness vendors from the Wellness Fair.
This is a win-win for our community, so mark your calendars for Saturday October 10th, rain or shine, 11:00 am – 3:00 pm. We’re excited to bring you the new Health and Harvest Fest!
We are actively recruiting sponsors at this time and anyone interested should contact Julie Doran at 973.763.6011.
