After just shy of two months of a “soft opening,” Ricalton’s Village Tavern is making it official on Saturday.
The restaurant and bar, which has been wildly popular since opening its doors at the beginning of June, will celebrate its Grand Opening Saturday, with giveaways, specials and more, from 3 p.m. until closing.
“We will have a ribbon cutting with local politicians,” said Stony Johnson, who owns the restaurant along with Tom McLaughlin. “In addition, we’ll have giveaways, raffles, free samples, drink specials and live music.”
The restaurant will raffle off magnums of Moet champagne, and will give away shirts and hats provided by sponsors.
“The South Orange Village Center Alliance (SOVCA) is excited to officially welcome Ricalton’s to South Orange,” said SOVCA executive director Bob Zuckerman. “Grand openings are always fun, but we’re really looking forward to this one on Saturday, as Ricalton’s is a great new addition to our village center and a very welcome new dining and drinking establishment in town in a location that was a vacant space for years. Everyone at SOVCA wishes Stony and Tom the best of luck moving forward, and we are very excited to be part of Saturday’s celebration.”
Ricalton’s was one of several businesses recently featured on News 12 NJ.
Ricalton’s serves lunch and dinner and is open from Tuesday through Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 a.m.; until midnight on Sundays, and is closed Mondays.
Swing by for happy hour from 3-7 pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and check out the live music on Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights.
