A Full and Exciting Week of Events for the South Orange-Maplewood Adult School

Get ready for another big week of fun and enlightening classes at the South Orange-Maplewood Adult School. On Tuesday, May 7, leading analyst of world politics Dr. Ralph Buultjens, will be discussing vital issues for America in the context of the current global situation in his talk America & The World: Will We Stay #1? The lecture takes place at Columbia High School’s Library and costs $20. Click here to register or pay at the door.

Parents looking to de-mystify the college application process can register for A Parent’s Guide to the College Process, which also takes place on May 7. On Wednesday, May 8 choose from Essentials of Grilling with Ben Salmon, Foraging Your Feast from the Woods with Dan Lipow or Birding in New Jersey with Dr. Claus Holzapfel. Do you like a little creativity with your Cabernet? Kick off the weekend with Geralyn Robinson’s BYOB Happy Hour Painting on Friday, May 10. For parents scrambling to line up summer activities for their kids, check out the Adult School’s Children’s Summer Program. With a flexible schedule and more than 100 classes in in creative arts, music, science and sports for students in grades 1-9 (with some sports camps going up to grade 12), the sky’s the limit.
