Residents of Maplewood and South Orange are invited to register for the Metropolitan YMCA of the Oranges’ 23rd annual golf tournament on Monday, Sept. 18. Proceeds from the event at the picturesque Montclair Golf Club go to the financial assistance fund for the South Mountain YMCA and the Metro Y’s five other branches. The cost for individual golfers is $525 and $2,100 for a foursome, and includes the full day of golf and all evening activities.
“The money we raise will provide children and families in need access to programs that foster wellness and community involvement,” said Metro YMCA Chief Development Officer Lisa Kelly. Since 1994, the tournament has raised more than $1.5 million.
