A joint investigation conducted by detectives from the South Orange Police Department and several other jurisdictions, including the FBI, led to the September 1 arrest of Jarjisu Issah, a 43-year-old Newark resident, according to the SOPD blotter. Issah was formally charged with the August 14 robbery of the Provident bank, police said.
Issah was also charged with other bank robberies in New Jersey and was a person of interest in bank robberies in New York City, said police.
