In an email today to the families of Columbia High School students, Principal Elizabeth Aaron announced that, starting tomorrow, CHS teachers will be available to support students working on summer assignments.

The program is called FAST — or Flexible Academic Support Time.

“We are pleased to announce that starting on Thursday, July 17, Columbia High School teachers will be available to support students who are working on summer assignments,” wrote Aaron. “Students entering grades 9 through 12 can come to CHS to work on summer math packets, writing assignments, AP assignments and other high school work.”

Aaron went on to explain that from July 17 through August 7, Math, Science, Language Arts, and Social Studies support will be available from 8:15 a.m. to 10:45 a.m.  in the cafeteria and from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in room D112.

Students should enter the high school door located to the right of the Black Box Theater and indicate that they are here for “FAST.”

Aaron instructed students to bring their materials with them.

“We hope that they will take advantage of this time to work with our teachers in preparation for a great year at CHS,” wrote Aaron.

Parents or students with questions can call the CHS main office at 973-762-5600, extension 1019.
