Columbia High School parents/guardians and students: mark your calendars for the annual CHS Advanced Placement (AP) Forum on Wednesday, January 6 at 7 p.m.

The forum will introduce parents/guardians and students to CHS’s AP course offerings and to the content, work and expectations of CHS and the College Board regarding enrollment in AP classes.

The CHS scheduling process for the 16-17 school year begins early in the year, so parents and students should begin to discuss their plans and academic trajectories toward college- and career-readiness.

There is a chart in the document attached below that identifies each of the courses and CHS’s corresponding grade recommendations.

Before attending the forum, parents and students are advised to review the site www.apcentral.collegeboard.com to find more information about the College Board Advanced Placement program. In addition, visit the CHS course catalog to learn more about the trajectory toward AP classes.
