The South Orange-Maplewood Board of Education approved the 2016-2017 academic calendar Monday night.
The 2016-17 school year will begin on September 6 and 7 and end on June 21 and 22, for grades K-7/9 and grades 8/10-12, respectively.
Spring break is scheduled for April 10-14, 2017, the week before Easter, which is on April 16, 2017.
