Marshall School is excited to announce the opening of a new STEM lab where classes will participate in hands-on science, technology, engineering and math instruction with their classroom teachers.

Thanks to grant funding from the Achieve Foundation and Goldman Sachs, the former Computer Lab has been transformed into this new STEM Lab. The Lab includes new, updated furniture and equipment that promotes and enhances STEM learning and innovation. The furniture allows for flexible grouping of students as they work on projects both independently and in small groups. Some of the new materials include LEGO Education Kits, robots, iPads and chrome books for research and other applications, and science kits that address content standards.

Through our efforts to promote STEM education we aim to create innovators who are inspired learners and support higher achievement in Science, Math, Engineering and Technology. A group of teachers dedicated to STEM learning and instruction, along with me, Assistant Principal Shannon Glander, will provide training to staff on implementing STEM instruction for all students.
