Cheryl Ann Langer (Hansen)

Cheryl Ann Langer (Hansen), age 63, of West Palm Beach, FL, formerly of Maplewood, NJ & Tewksbury, MA, passed away on April 10, 2016, following a courageous battle with cancer.

Cheryl is the beloved wife of 22 years to Sherman L. Langer, devoted mother of Jennifer Rasbold of Basking Ridge, New Jersey, Edward Rasbold & his wife Kimberlee of Flagstaff, Arizona, and Eric Rasbold & his wife Katrina of Grizzly Flats, California, step-mother of Jennifer Langer Jacobs & husband Barry of Highland Park, NJ and Matthew Langer, loving grandmother of Corben, Draydon, Taran, Ashlin, Nathan, Dylan, Delena and Callie and great grandmother to Nathaniel, Matthew & Anna. Cherished daughter of Margaret F. (Rooney) Hansen and the late Claire E. “Bill” Hansen of Whittier, CA, dear sister of Susan Kelley & husband James of Chino Hills, CA, Donna Niikkonen & husband Pekka of Redmond, WA and Barbara Stratton & husband Robert of Douglasville, PA. Cheryl is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Family and friends will gather at the Nichols Funeral Home, 187 Middlesex Ave., (Rte. 62), Wilmington, on Wednesday, April 20th at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Dorothy’s Church, Main St., (Rte. 38), Wilmington, at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow in Wildwood Cemetery, Wilmington. Visiting hours will be held at the Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 19th from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. Memorial donations in Cheryl’s name may be made to American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA  01701.  Cheryl was raised in Tewksbury and a graduate of Tewksbury High School with the Class of 1971. She lived in Maplewood, New Jersey for many years before moving to West Palm Beach, FL. At the time of her death, Cheryl was employed as a Registered Nurse at the Holy Cross Hospital in Ft. Lauderdale, FL.

Cheryl has touched the lives of so many with her open heart and generosity. Cheryl’s family would like to thank the amazing Nurses at Palm Gardens Hospice for making sure she remained comfortable, in peace and with all of her family.
