The following is from the South Orange Department of Recreation & Cultural Affairs:
A Red Cross Lifeguard Certification course is being offered at the South Orange Pool for Maplewood and South Orange residents 15 years and older. This is a full certification course that will include necessary lifeguard safety and rescue skills, first aid and CPR. Upon successful completion of this course, participants will be eligible for employment as a lifeguard.
Course fees include $275 to Maplewood Recreation upon registration and $35 payable online directly to the Red Cross for course access and account creation.
When: Monday, August 8 through Thursday, August 11
Where: South Orange Community Pool
Time: 7:00am – 12:00pm
