Three candidates — Stacey Trimble Borden, Edward Grossi and Matt Wonski — have entered the race for three seats on the South Orange Village Board of Trustees, the governing body of South Orange Township.
Under the slogan “SOForward,” the candidates are running their campaign in coordination with each other and with long-time Trustee Deborah Davis Ford, who announced her candidacy for South Orange Village President (the equivalent of mayor) last month.
Wonski, Borden and Grossi announced their candidacies on Facebook and at a campaign event last night at Inkosi Cafe on Irvington Avenue with Davis Ford.
As yet, no other candidates have announced for the three BOT seats. Current Trustee Mark Rosner said he will not seek re-election. Trustee Howard Levison told Village Green that he is still deciding. The third seat up for election is currently held by Davis Ford. Deadline to file is March 11. Election day is May 14.
