In case your children haven’t reminded you, the South Orange – Maplewood School District is closed for five days this Memorial Day weekend, from Friday, May 27 through Tuesday, May 31.
Because the district didn’t use up all of its emergency closing days, extra “give-back” days were added to the Memorial Day weekend. Read more about that here.
South Orange and Maplewood Pools both open this weekend — and not a moment too soon, give the early summer heat wave we’re experiencing.
Don’t forget the Maplewood Memorial Day Parade and the Duck Race are on Monday. (Get your tickets for the Duck Race now!)
And South Orange will hold its annual solemn remembrance of veterans who have fought and died for our country, at the Duck Pond at 10:15 a.m. (Look for more details about that tomorrow.)
