From the Maplewood Police Department:
Valley Street construction and closures will continue today (May 9) due to weather postponing work last Friday. We are hopeful that this will be the last day of closures, If there are additional closures an update will be sent.
Valley Street will be closed due to work by NJ American Water between Tuscan Rd and Millburn Avenue. Vehicles will be detoured onto Prospect St, Millburn Avenue and Springfield Avenue. This will cause additional traffic in the immediate area as well as increased traffic on Springfield Ave. The work will typically last from approximately 9 AM to 4 PM as long as no unexpected obstacles are encountered.
During this time frame, there may be limited access to Tuscan School on Harvard Ave after morning drop off until approximately 3 PM. It is recommended that you plan an alternate route to avoid this area if possible. The road will be reopened following the construction daily.
