Todd Van Beveren, Orchestra Director at Columbia High School, has organized a Chamber Music Festival funded by the Achieve Foundation and CHSMPA (Columbia High School Music Parents Association) to take place in a series of three concerts on April 21, May 20 and a date to be announced.
On Thursday April 21, the American String Quartet will conduct workshops with students during the day and then present a concert that evening at 8:00 p.m. in the Columbia High School Auditorium.
On May 20, the Lark String Quartet will conduct workshops with students during the day, and then present a concert in the evening at 7:30 p.m. in the Auditorium.
Stay tuned for information on a third concert by students.
The events are free to SOMSD music students and their families. A $20 donation is suggested for all others.
