The following is from the Millburn School District:
Millburn High School is hosting its annual College Night on Monday, November 2nd from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. The event will take place in the high school gymnasium as well as in several classrooms on the second floor.
Ninth through 12th grade students and parents from all schools and surrounding communities are invited to participate. More than 200 colleges from across the country will be represented at the event. Once again the PTO will be providing a Chinese Buffet from the local Jade Lake Restaurant for all attending college representatives. The PTO will also be sponsoring a hospitality room throughout the night for representatives.
Tables will be set up with two colleges per table; students and parents can visit with the college representatives and obtain literature on the schools. College Night also has been expanded to include two sessions of a financial aid workshop presented by the College and Retirement Solutions Company. The workshop, which lasts approximately one hour is being offered at 7:00 p.m. and again at 8:00 p.m. in room 111.
College Night, which was initiated roughly 20 years ago, has been a very successful program. It is sure to be a benefit to any student at any grade level.
