You may have already heard about a proposed new mixed use development at the corner of 4th and Valley Streets. This new proposed development would include 100 apartments, including some affordable units, as well as approximately 10,000 square feet of new retail space.
The developer, Meridia, presented their plans at a public forum at the Baird a few months ago [September 19]. As a result of the feedback received at that session, they have made some changes to their plans, and they will now be presenting their revised proposal at another public forum to be held next Wednesday, November 30th, 8:00 PM on the SOPAC main stage. I hope that many of you will consider attending this very important forum about future development in our district. There is no need to RSVP – just show up if you can next Wednesday to learn about this proposal and ask any questions you may have.
