Mark your calendars! The award-winning Columbia High School musical theater program is now deep into rehearsals for this year’s musical: Beauty and the Beast. Tickets will be available soon and would-be patrons should plan to scoop them up fast (shows sell out quickly).
Dates are March 11, 12, 18 & 19 at 7:30 p.m. and March 13 & 20 at 2 p.m.
CHS will also be hosting a special event, Be Our Guest, on Saturday, February 20, for elementary school children. This program will give kids the chance to meet the cast and characters, learn some music from the show, and participate in other arts-enrichment activities. More information will follow.
Additionally, watch for information about CHS’s Cabaret fundraiser, which will take place on the evening of Wednesday, February 3. This night of entertainment will include numbers from our cast members as well as some of our middle school students who are currently working on their musicals.
Lastly, CHS is soliciting business ads for the high school musical program for the first time. The program will be seen by close to 6,000 audience members during the run of the show and will provide a targeted and effective platform to promote your business. It will also support help in our effort to secure the highest quality costumes, set, and lighting and sound design for the production.
