Meeting Emergency Needs with Dignity, Inc. (MEND) is the oldest and largest interfaith anti-hunger coalition of food pantries in Essex County.

Since 1980, more than 1.6 million Essex County neighbors have passed through MEND’s doors to feed their families. In 2015, MEND pantries served approximately 107,000 individuals, a 65% increase over the past five years, despite two pantry closures last year.
