Maplewood Village was overrun with animal life on Saturday, Dec. 19 as Jack’s Petting Zoo and the horse & wagon rides brought the annual Dickens Village activities to an end. Other fun events included visits with Santa and Mrs. Claus, crafts at the library, and a free concert by Maplewood Community Music at the Burgdorff.
The town was a zoo in other ways as well: shops like No. 165, Kokoro, Tenth Muse, Perch and Hopscotch were brimming with customers. Bagel Chateau was hustling to keep bagel production up with demand, and brunch was pouring out of every restaurant door from Maplewood Deli & Grille down to St. James Gate.
