The race honors the life Meghan Doyle, a 2005 graduate of MSDA. Meghan grew up in SOMA and attended Our Lady of Sorrows in South Orange. Her parents, longtime residents of Maplewood, remain active members of the community today.

A certified sensory inclusive facility, the zoo will offer a modified zoo experience with limited capacity and muted attractions.

To be considered for an endorsement by the Maplewood Democratic Committee, candidates must submit a letter of interest and a resume by March 3, 2025. The deadline to file a petition to be on the primary ballot — as a Republican or Democrat — is March 24, 2025. The primary is June 10.
