As part of Black History Month, elementary school-age kids took to the mic and shared art, essays and poetry on topics ranging from racial and gender equality to environmental protection and the importance of education. 

“We also are currently working on ways to look at our current model, … a co-teaching bonded model where two full-time teachers are in the same classroom all day,” said Supt. Jason Bing. “Looking at our budget, it’s going to be very difficult to maintain that model moving forward.”

Mazzocchi, CHS Class of 1991, has led the John J. Cali School of Music at Montclair State University, Kinhaven Music School in Vermont, and now the Kaufman Music Center in New York City.

“All those communities that were devastated by Tropical Storm Ida and by all the subsequent storms, they all relied on that obligation to do work,” said Township Committeeperson Vic DeLuca. “People spent money and they need to be reimbursed.”
