However, commuters asked for immediate, tangible solutions: “Amtrak cannot replace these wires overnight. What I would like as a commuter is a real contingency plan.”

Meanwhile, a resolution to reinstate Frank Sanchez as Columbia High School Principal is on the June 27 Board of Education meeting agenda.

The grant will help create a landscaped entryway along Oakview Avenue and Valley St. and a new pathway that will complete the interior walking loop around the park, allowing a safe and pleasant place to walk and access the playground, courts, and ballfields.

A grand jury dismissed a felony charge against Frank Sanchez earlier this month; however, he still faces a simple assault charge. It’s unclear if the charge impacts his reinstatement in the district.
