Jews, God, and History (Not Necessarily in That Order)
January 26, 2019 @ 8:00 pm - 10:00 pm
$15A one-man show, written and performed by writer/actor/comic/singer/dancer/historian Michael Takiff, that looks at the ways we live with our ancient traditions in the modern age. Jews, God, and History is as funny as it is thought-provoking, featuring a variety of forms of both comedy (including sketch, character, stand-up, impressions) and drama (discourse, rant, and memoir).
Jews, God, and History is about Jews, but not only about Jews. It examines the big questions asked by all people: about God and faith, tribe and nation.
Jews, God, and History pulls no punches, challenging audience members to question their assumptions about issues like God, the Holocaust, and the place of a religious minority in the United States of America.
Jews, God, and History is reverent and irreverent, comforting and maddening, funny and serious, epic and intimate.
Jews, God, and History is unlike any show you’ve seen before.
