Spears, who trains at the NJ Fencing Alliance in Maplewood, will fence Women’s Sabre for Jamaica at the 2026 Central American and Caribbean (CAC) Games in the Dominican Republic.

One parent asked the Board of Education to “stand up for paras who are being devalued and bullied by this cut”, as another explained that the district should look into why the paras were all demoted to Level 1 employees. “When we fail to value experience, our students pay the price.”

The appointment of Paul Morgan comes one day after a deadly school shooting in Minneapolis. Morgan previously served as Chief of Safety for Teaneck Schools, which he sued last March, in part for allegedly “blocking him from reporting a potential school shooting threat.”
