Uncompetitive, Unorganized, Uncommonly Fun ‘UnRun’ 5K Returns May 18 to Benefit PTAs

From the Mark Slade Homes Team of Keller Williams:

The Uncompetitive, Unorganized, Uncommonly Fun UnRun is a 5K run to benefit Maplewood and South Orange elementary school PTAs. The event is family-friendly and accessible to young runners, starting and finishing at the Marshall Elementary playground.

The entirety of the course is within the Montrose neighborhood of South Orange and its route is closed off from traffic and includes few hills. All turns are manned by volunteers to ensure that no one goes off-track. Non-running family and friends can play in the Marshall playground and still clap UnRunners home at the finish line.

There is a $25 entry fee for the UnRun, all of which is donated to the Maplewood-South Orange elementary school PTA of your choosing.

Runners receive a t-shirt (S-M-L-XL) whose cost has been entirely donated by our generous sponsor Mark Slade of Keller Williams Realty.

In the third year of its existence the UnRun donated $3,750 to our local PTA’s.  This year American Century Mutual Fund will match the first $1,500 raised. We hope that your participation in UnRun 4 will allow us to double last year’s total!

UnRun 4 — Saturday, May 18th at 9:00am. The run will begin promptly at 9:20am. Run begins/ends at Marshall playground (262 Grove Road, South Orange). Sign-up at theunrun.com.
